I Mean It is an experimental kinetic text sculpture. It is a collaboration with Korean artist Hailin Kwak. Both Hailin and Jiaqi are non-native English speakers who have been living in the United States for a couple years. "Seriously" and "literally" are often used in daily dialogues, however, the meaning of words may have been changed after iteration. By setting up the specific sentence and the back and forth exchange of the two words, Hailin and Jiaqi create an ambiguous situation and question our usage habit of words and the real intend behind, what do we really mean when we use the words to express ourselves?
